Annie Baccary

Vice President for Advancement Administration

Annie serves as Vice President for Advancement Administration, working closely with the campuses’ Vice Chancellors for Advancement and the President of the University of Colorado Foundation to maximize constituent engagement and philanthropic support for CU. She provides management, coordination and leadership of key service areas designed to provide excellent customer service, strategy, expertise and efficiency to our partners on CU’s campuses and at the CU Foundation.

These service areas include: constituent research and development, data management, business intelligence, technical architecture, annual giving, planned giving, marketing and communications, IT, budget and finance, and more. Annie joined the CU System Advancement team in 2014, the leadership team in 2016 and the President’s executive team in 2020.

Annie started her career on Wall Street, working for Credit Suisse’s Private Fund Group, which raised $35 billion in capital for private equity and hedge funds during her tenure.

She later worked for Mountain Pacific Partners, a start-up private equity firm, where she conducted operations for a variety of start-ups, including mobile home parks, salon studios and a bank holding company.

Annie has always had a passion for higher education and switched careers from finance to advancement in 2011, when she started working in stewardship and gift administration at the Colorado School of Mines Foundation. She believes that the value higher education provides to society is immense and sees philanthropy as instrumental to achieving and enhancing that value.
